Our Wellbeing Workshops are a creative way to support you physically and emotionally – no artistic skills required!

These workshops will normally run alongside our Welcome to Longfield ; Information and Support Service on Thursday mornings. They will cover many different aspects of wellbeing, from healthy activities to dietary advice. Each will complement other Longfield services in supporting you to feel better and more confident, teaching you new ways of managing the issues you are dealing with. They will normally run for two hours over six, consecutive weeks, for people diagnosed with a life-limiting illness, carers and family members.

Our Wellbeing Workshops


Willow Weaving

Improve your wellbeing and release your worries and anxieties by learning to weave with willow and other natural materials. This group is for people living with life-limiting illness, their carers and families and those who have been bereaved.


Relax and Create

Join us at Longfield for a range of relaxing and creative activities - no artistic experience is required. The course is designed to give therapeutic benefits to those with life-limiting illnesses, their carers and family members.


Financial & Benefits Advice

A free workshop designed to provide general financial and benefits advice to those with life-limiting illnesses, or anyone that provides care for them. 


Tai Chi Movements for Wellbeing (TMW)'

This course promotes physical and emotional health and wellbeing, through a specially developed sequence of movements, designed for those with life-limiting illnesses, their families and carers. 


Capture the Moment

The sessions will cover different subjects and skills each week and allow participants to express themselves through the infinite possibilities photography gives. 


Life Stories 

Tell your story using mixed creative media. Collect, paint, write in a journal or memory box either for yourself or to share with loved ones.
