Longfield has been chosen, as one of three groups in the Stroud region, for the #BagsofHelp Tesco Bags of Help @Tesco_SouthWest @groundworkuk funding scheme.

This community funding scheme, gives grants of £4,000, £2,000 and £1,000 – all raised from the 5p bag levy – being awarded to local community projects for outdoor spaces.

You will receive one blue token per transaction and it's not necessary to purchase a carrier bag in order to receive a token – But please do ask for one! The tokens can be used to vote by dropping them in the plastic box near the front of the store.

The vote is open from 1st July 2017 to 31st August 2017 in 4 Tesco stores in the Stroud area:

More details about our project:

We are raising money for a new greenhouse to grow more plants from seed for our kitchen gardens and for our extensive borders.  We want to grow more vegetables for healthy patient lunches and more flowers to help our herbaceous borders flourish with year round colour and scent for patient wellbeing and for the increasing number of people who come here for quiet remembrance.

Our lawn mower has given many years' dutiful service, cutting the meadow and lawns, it is old and needs replacing for a newer, ride on model to help our gardening team of staff and volunteers.

Please vote for us when shopping at Tesco this summer and help us to raise £4,000 for Longfield!
