Supporting You and Your Family

We recognise and understand that a diagnosis of a life limiting illness brings a difficult and emotional time. Here at Longfield we listen to you, answer your worries and questions, and support you and those around you.

Longfield Hospice help you to regain control of your physical and emotional wellbeing, enabling you to be yourself, rather than just a victim of illness. You may be struggling with things from time to time, and we can help you to adapt, to manage your symptoms more effectively and to improve your quality of life. We achieve this by providing a broad range of support for adults at all stages of their illness, from their diagnosis onwards. Our team also offer services to those around you, those caring for somebody with life-limiting illness and those who have been bereaved.

Welcome to Longfield sessions

We’d love to see you for an initial Welcome to Longfield session, to talk about your needs.

You can arrange a programme of Day Therapy, book hourly appointments for specific types of care, or you can decide to join one of our many groups or workshops. After discussing your needs and preferences with us, you can choose from our wide range of services, which are all free of charge.

We also offer information and advice services for patients, family, carers and those who have been bereaved. No appointment necessary, open every Thursday morning between 09.30 and 12.30.

Self-referral - We can give you the care you need

We are here to support adults living with life-limiting illnesses, their carers, families and the recently bereaved, by offering a range of locally based free services, to help them achieve a better quality of life whilst living with their illness. Please contact us to refer yourself or download a referral form in word or PDF format here.

Please note that for Hospice at Home services, all referrals need to be made by a healthcare professional, such as a district nurse, GP, consultant or clinical nurse specialist.
