Our student music therapist will be available every Tuesday, from October 23rd until the middle of April 2019, to provide one-to-one support to patients, families and carers, or those who have been bereaved.

Music can support emotional and physical wellbeing because it resonates powerfully with our feelings, helping us to express them and communicate with others.

People can work with a wide range of accessible instruments to create a 'musical language' that reflects how they are feeling, both physically and emotionally. This can help them connect with their inner selves and with the music therapist.  This therapy may include playing instruments, listening to music (either recorded or played by the therapist) or writing songs.
