Hours:   37.5 per week (5 from 7 days on rota)
Salary:  £16,160 per annum

Are you a supportive and professional individual with Retail experience?  Can you be accessible to any of our shops when they need you? If so, you’re already delivering three of Longfield’s five values (the other two are ‘personalised’ and ‘innovative’) and may be just the person we’re looking for.

We have 18 shops across the county, run by paid managers and staffed by volunteers. To cover successfully in our shops you’ll need to have retail experience, creative flair and excellent interpersonal skills.  This will enable you to work effectively alongside our Shop Managers, Deputy Managers and volunteers in maximising sales and creating an attractive and positive shop environment, whilst providing support to shop teams or cover for sickness and holidays as necessary.

Duties include:
• Supervising volunteers
• Processing donated goods
• Stock-taking
• Recording daily and weekly figures
• Managing Gift Aid and keeping accurate records
• Delivering friendly and effective customer service
• Ensuring good presentation and displays
• Cash handling and reconciliation including till operation.

The ability to cover all locations across the county is clearly essential for this role.
