Are you an experienced IT manager who is professional, but also accessible and supportive to a wide range of users? These are three of Longfield’s values (the other two are ‘personalised’ and’ innovative’), so if you can deliver all five, you may be just the person we’re after.

We are a Gloucestershire charity based in a purpose-built, state of the art building close to Minchinhampton and with seventeen shops around the county. We have about sixty employees at Minchinhampton, twenty-five Hospice at Home staff working in the community and about forty staff in our retail operation. We are now looking for a talented IT Manager to take responsibility for the day to day smooth running, maintenance and development of the Hospices’ IT hardware and network infrastructure. As a ”hands on IT Manager“ you will need to be able to offer 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support as well as  overseeing basic day to day IT support for the business, hardware and software systems.

You must have extensive experience in managing a network and hardware installation and have a good understanding of server and web based systems.  Typically you may have a degree in ICT although relevant experience is as important.   Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as is the experience of managing a direct report, multi-tasking, working under pressure and creating and implementing innovative solutions. The CISMP qualification is essential, so the successful applicant will be supported by Longfield to undertake this qualification.

This is a role that will suit an IT Manager that will genuinely enjoy using IT as an enabler to allow an organisation to provide a service to people at a significant time of need.

We are offering a competitive salary, 25 days holiday, flexible working patterns, training and development and the opportunity to work in a lovely building with plenty of onsite parking. If you would like more information, please contact our Head of Retail, IT and Facilities on 01453 886868.
