"The counselling and talking to other people in the same situation helped him and me greatly. His visits to Longfield helped us to be honest and loving with each other and enjoy the time we had left together"

If you are coming to terms with your own life-limiting illness, if you are caring for and supporting a loved one with a life-limiting diagnosis or if you have recently been bereaved, our team of trained and qualified counselling staff and volunteers offer counselling and bereavement support on a one-to-one basis, whether you or a loved one has accessed services at Longfield before or not.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we haven’t been able to offer face-to-face counselling over the past year but we have been offering telephone and video counselling instead and feedback has been really positive. Now, we are pleased to announce that we can, once again, offer face-to-face counselling giving you the choice of accessing our counselling services either in person, by telephone or via secure video online.

If you would like to speak with a member of the team, please telephone 01453 886868 for an informal discussion about our services and how we might be able to help.

We would like to thank the following organisations for their recent generous support of our Counselling and Bereavement Counselling Services for patients, family carers and bereaved adults:

The Prince of Wales’s Charitable Fund (PWCF)
Gloucestershire County Council ‘Thriving Communities Fund’
The Carers Gloucestershire Legacy Fund through Gloucestershire Community Foundation
