"After attending the course I realised the value of meeting with others, a chance to talk and share experiences, gain further information, but most importantly to feel supported and know I am not alone in my role as carer"

Positive Caring Programme

The Positive Caring Programme is a series of free sessions for adults who look after another adult with a life-limiting illness. It is an opportunity to meet with others in similar circumstances to gain and share information, knowledge and support to help you in your caring role. Currently, these sessions will be run via Zoom.

Our Positive Caring Programme runs every Tuesday for four weeks and looks at all aspects of life when supporting somebody with a life-limiting illness. Each week will look at a different topic to include the practicalities of caring for somebody, managing stress and the emotional demands placed upon you and support that is available to you in all different forms. The course is informal and presented by experienced and caring facilitators. This course provides an excellent opportunity to gain information and advice as well as meet others who are living through similar experiences to your own.
