Help us to deliver care which is professional, personalised and accessible to all who need it.
These are three of Longfield’s values (the others are ‘supportive’ and ‘innovative’) and we’re committed to delivering them in everything we do.

Longfield’s Hospice at Home team provides care to adults with any life-limiting illness whose choice is to be supported at home in the last few weeks of life, which includes support to their immediate families.

As a Hospice at Home Health Care Assistant you will be responsible for helping us to support patients through hands-on direct care, working in partnership with GP’s, District Nurses and Palliative Care Teams.

We pride ourselves on the delivery of high quality personalised care which is professional and supportive.

Do you have the skills we are looking for?
• Experience of caring for patients in a community/ care home/ hospital setting
• Experience of caring for patients with a range of life-limiting illnesses would be desirable,
• Commitment to undertake training as appropriate for the role i.e. basic life support, manual handling, medicines management,
• IT literacy, including the use of email.

Hospice at Home serves parts of the county of Gloucestershire and visits can be anywhere within this area (excluding the North Cotswolds and Forest of Dean) to meet the needs of our patients. So travel is an essential component of the role, therefore you will need to be a driver and car owner.
