Will YOU help secure our future?
At the start of the COVID-19 outbreak the community came to our aid and raised over £100,000 in one-off donations through our Urgent Appeal, a real boost to our cashflow when other income had stopped. We also received some emergency funding from the government via Hospice UK to tide us over in the immediate term. This support enabled Longfield to provide free care and support throughout these challenging times to hundreds of patients, family members and carers.
Now, as we look to our future, we still see a challenging path ahead. Face-to-face fundraising is still not possible and our shops’ income remains uncertain. We need your help to secure our future.
We’re asking you to join the Heart of Longfield Fund, committing to a monthly donation. Help us to plan ahead with greater confidence to deliver the best possible care and support to people in the community, at a time when they need it most.
In return, we will recognise your loyalty to the community by adding your name to the Wall of Hearts displayed at the very centre of the hospice. Please leave your name or the name of a loved one, and a message in the comments box when making your donation if you wish. You will also receive exclusive updates on our work and a personal invitation to visit the hospice to meet the team, so you can see for yourself the difference your donation makes. With your regular donation to the Heart of Longfield Fund we can provide the expertise, care and support for patients and their families, not just today, but for years to come.
Watch Tracey, one of our Hospice at Home carers, explain how the care and support in patients’ homes, has continued throughout the pandemic and why you should continue to support Longfield.
To read more about the way the team has adapted, the future plans of Longfield and how your regular donation will make a difference please read this message from our Care Director, Sian Cole
We appreciate that for some a regular gift may not be possible right now. But we welcome any donation, however large or small, you may be able to spare at this time. Thank you in advance for your continued commitment to the patients and families of Longfield now and for the future.
