Gold Standards Framework for Care Homes Training Programme We are holding a GSF Information Session on 25 July 2019, 10am-12pm for more information Click here The GSF Care Home programme is designed to help and support care homes to provide the very best care for all residents right up until the end of life. The GSF care home programme will empower the workforce, reduce staff turnover, transform the culture of care and significantly reduce inappropriate hospital admissions. The programme was revised in 2018 to make it accessible and affordable for all care homes. Already widely regarded as a kitemark for quality, the GSF Care Homes Programme has been completed by more than 3,000 care homes across the UK, it has helped hundreds of thousands of residents enjoy coordinated, compassionate care in line with their wishes while also reducing hospital admissions and improving delayed transfer of care. GSF training and accreditation is a proven step towards improved CQC ratings. Of the 430 care homes rated 'outstanding' by CQC, 65 are GSF accredited. With one in five deaths nationally now occurring in a care home and that number expected to rise significantly between now and 2030, there's never been a more important time to ensure your workforce has all the tools they need to provide the personalised care people want, where they want it.
