How Will You Use The Funds I've Raised?

Your money will help us to provide a variety of services to support people across Gloucestershire living with a life-limiting illness. We rely on the public for over 85% of our support, so you really are very important. Please get in touch with the our Community & Events team if you have any specific questions.

Can I Claim Gift Aid on the Funds I Have Raised?

To claim Gift Aid on your fundraising, we must have the first name or initials, last name, full home address and postcode of each individual donor/sponsor. So please encourage them to tick the Gift Aid box on your sponsorship form when they sponsor you. Without these details we legally can’t claim Gift Aid – so be strict with your supporters!

There are some donations however, we are unable to accept Gift Aid on, for example money donated for tickets or goods cannot be gift aided. For more information and gift aid rules visit https://www.gov.uk/claim-gift-aid

You can download a copy of our Gift Aid form to sign yourself up for Gift Aid.

How Do I Pay In Funds I Have Raised?

Paying in your donation is simple. You send in a cheque payable to Longfield to: Longfield, Burleigh Lane, Minchinhampton Gloucestershire GL5 2PQ. Remember to include a note that this is money you’ve raised. Please don’t send cash in the post but you can drop it into one of our 20 shops located across the county.

What Kind of Events or Challenges Can I Take Part In For Longfield?

There are physical challenges like runs, hikes and swims you can undertake for Longfield. Or for you social types why not organise a coffee morning, a night in with friends, or a quiz night? For companies, we can work with you to develop a major one-off event or help you to choose lots of different ways to support our work. Everything you need to know is contained in our supporter pack or get in touch for a copy to be sent to you.

I Need Posters and Invitations to Promote My Event. Where Can I Get Them?

We can do this for you! Just get in touch to organise your posters and tickets from our Community & Events team. There are also some useful poster blanks to be found for your event here.

 

Can I Advertise My Event on the Longfield Website?

Yes we can certainly arrange this for you, just get in touch.

Can I Hold My Own Event For Longfield?

Oh yes please! If you’re looking at holding your own event such as a walk, or a cycling challenge, afternoon tea, quiz night or auction of promises, all you need to do is download a copy of our supporter fundraising pack which is crammed with fundraising tips and training information – alternatively, please contact us for a copy.  We can also answer any questions you might have about putting on your event.
