Do you have experience of working with unpaid family carers? Are you looking for a new challenge with the opportunity to make a difference to people supporting someone with a life limiting illness?

As the Family and Carers’ Support Assistant at Longfield, you will be the key to ensuring that families / friends get support and guidance in their caring role. As a registered charity, we have ambitious plans to help many more adults living with a life-limiting illness across Gloucestershire to live well with their illness, and supporting their carers will play a vital part in achieving this.

In this role, you will be supporting and working with family members and carers, to help them identify their needs and the support they may benefit from. You will explain to families and patients the services that Longfield provide and how we help people living with, or affected by a life limiting illness.

With excellent interpersonal and communication skills, we are looking for someone who can evidence successful working with unpaid carers in the past, as either a Health or Social Care professional, in another charity or in an equivalent context.

You will ideally have had experience of working with families who are supporting someone living with a life-limiting illness.
