Cotswold Way Challenge, NEW for 2021

17 September 2021 All day

Join us for our Cotswold Way Challenge, a testing walk, which provides you with a stunning setting. This challenge is just right for any adventurers ready to take on the hills and enjoy the fantastic views, while raising money for Longfield Hospice.

What is the Cotswold Way Challenge?

You will start the challenge on Friday 17 September, from the beautiful Prinknash Abbey and finish in Wotton-Under Edge, with a celebration at the Masonic Lodge. Your route will be approximately 26 miles of footpaths and trails taking in the rolling hills and villages along the magical Cotswold Way.  If 26 miles seems a little too far but you still fancy a challenge you can also take part in our 13 mile route from Kings Stanley Village Hall to Wotton-Under-Edge.

You will receive full support along the way with pit stops provided, and celebratory food, drink and a bespoke medal at the end. So get training and invite your family, friends or colleagues to step up for Longfield!

How much does it cost to take part?

It costs just £25pp to enter if you are taking on the 26 mile challenge or £20pp for the 13 mile option. If you are taking part in the 26 mile walk and would like to leave your car at the finish and get a coach to the start this is an optional extra at £5pp. This is only open to those taking part in 26 mile route.

We ask each participant to pledge to raise £150 or more towards our hospice care. The entry fee covers the cost and time involved in running the event, the sponsorship money will make the big difference to our patients, carers and families. Our fundraising team are on hand to help you with ways you can fundraise. We have a JustGiving campaign set up for the Cotswold Way Walk ready for you to set up a Fundraising page quickly.

Please note you must be aged 16 years or over to take part in this challenge.

I can’t take part, but how else can I help?

We are on the lookout for corporate sponsors to help with the costs of the event and also volunteers to help marshal or provide refreshment stops. Please get in touch with our friendly fundraising team on if you feel you can help in any way to make this event a success.
