Counselling and Bereavement Coordinator Longfield Community Hospice Nr Stroud, Gloucestershire Hours – 30 to 37.5 hours per week Salary – £25,164 p/a (full time equivalent) Would you like to join a growing Counselling and Bereavement service? As part of our strategy, we are seeking to expand our services and support more people. To help us achieve our ambitions to “reach more people” we are seeking to recruit a motivated and forward thinking, Counselling and Bereavement Coordinator to support our growing team of volunteers. As Counselling and Bereavement Coordinator you will also hold a small caseload, facilitate bereavement support groups, deliver training and you will be responsible for undertaking initial assessments and allocations. You will have excellent organisational, communication and IT skills as well as the ability to support volunteers and be an excellent team player. You will work with the Counselling and Bereavement Lead to support the expansion of the service. To be successful in this role you will: Have experience of supporting a team of volunteers. Be educated to diploma level in Counselling with post qualification experience. You must have experience of bereavement and palliative / end of life care, ideally with experience of facilitating bereavement or therapeutic support groups. Have experience of assessing client’s needs. Be motivated, innovative and forward thinking. Have excellent IT, organisation and communication skills. Be an excellent team player with a good sense of humour. Be available to work the during the core opening hours of the Hospice which are: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm and Thursday 9.00am to 9.00pm.
