You will be providing one-to-one face-to-face and occasional one-to-one telephone support to adults who have been bereaved by the death of someone through natural causes.

You will be required to support at least 2 bereaved clients per week and each session lasts 50 minutes, plus administration time.  These sessions are held during the day and in the evening and may take place at Longfield or community based venues across Gloucestershire.  A commitment to work to a short term model of up to 12 sessions and the use of evaluation and outcome measures are required.

Internal supervision will be provided, together with ongoing training and development, review sessions and team meetings.

You will need to undertake Longfield’s Supporting Bereaved Adults training session on 14th October 2017 and other relevant training and development sessions.

All these positions require excellent listening and communication skills and a non-judgemental attitude.  We are looking for individuals who have a genuine interest in supporting people with sensitivity and compassion.
