Bereavement Support (Group Work) Volunteers You will be involved in supporting and facilitating the delivery of a minimum of two bereavement support groups per year; each group requiring a commitment of 3-5 hours per week (depending on travel time). The groups are held on the same day and same time every week over six consecutive weeks. This time commitment includes the planning and de-briefing time prior to and following each group session. Bereavement Groups are held during the day and in the evenings and at weekends and will take place at Longfield or community based venues across Gloucestershire. You will be required to undertake Longfield’s Supporting Bereaved Adults training session on 14th October 2017 and complete Longfield’s Facilitated Group Work (Bereavement) training sessions, together with any other relevant training and development sessions. These positions require excellent listening and communication skills and a non-judgemental attitude. We are looking for individuals who have a genuine interest in supporting people with sensitivity and compassion.
