We will be running a number of Bereavement Support Groups over the coming months, following very positive feedback from the participants in our initial, six week groups.

Every one of them said that the group had helped them learn more about their grief, to develop new ways of coping with it, to remember their loved one in new ways and to reduce their feelings of isolation. They said that it made them realize that their grief is normal, because others in the group were experiencing the same or similar feelings. Each of them said that they would recommend one of these groups to others who were in a similar situation.

Attending one of our Bereavement Support Groups is an opportunity for you to explore your grief in a confidential and mutually supportive environment, with others in a similar position and with a facilitator trained in bereavement support.

Our Bereavement Support Groups offer people the chance to learn more about their own grief and that of others and to explore new ways of coping. They are also an opportunity to remember their loved one and they can help with the isolation that grief can bring.

The groups are for adults in Gloucestershire who have been bereaved by a death from illness or other natural causes.

Look at our Programme of Services to find our next groups.
