Be part of an amazing sculpture at Gloucester Cathedral this spring, and remember a loved one with a beautiful Forget Me Not.

Spring is a time of new beginnings, but it can be difficult when you are dealing with the loss of someone close to you. Remembering a loved one is very personal. Our Forget Me Not appeal offers a unique way to celebrate the life of someone special – a wonderful tribute to their memory. And your donation to Longfield Hospice will enable us to support many more patients and families across Gloucestershire.

Our striking Forget Me Not flowers have been custom made to support Longfield Hospice. Please make a minimum donation of £25 now in memory of anyone special to you and be part of the Cathedral display.  Your loved one does not need to have been cared for by Longfield.

Each year, our Hospice at Home team make about 6,500 home visits and £25 could pay for 25 minutes of Hospice at Home care, enabling a family to remain together in the comfort and familiar surroundings of their own home.

During March, your special Forget Me Not flower, along with hundreds of others, will be part of a stunning art installation within the grounds of Gloucester Cathedral, each flower symbolising a life remembered.

Anyone who has made a donation for a flower, along with other visitors to the Cathedral, will be able to view and enjoy the beautiful display of bright blue and yellow Forget Me Nots from 5th - 25th March 2020, helping to raise awareness of the vital services provided by Longfield Hospice in your local community.

When Molly's Dad, Simon, was diagnosed with cancer, it was a huge shock for all of her family, with him having been such a fit and active man for so many years.  As he became very ill, the family didn’t want Simon to stay in hospital and, thanks to Longfield, he was able to be cared for at home.

When the installation comes to an end, each flower will be carefully placed back in its box and taken back to Longfield Hospice, where it will be ready for you to collect on Sunday 26th April, if you would like to keep it. The quality craftsmanship of each Forget Me Not means they can be placed outside in your garden as a lasting tribute for many years to come.

£40 could provide one hour of counselling for a patient or bereaved person, offering a safe environment for them to express their feelings and explore ways of coping with their situation.

Please donate today to dedicate a Forget Me Not in memory of your loved one and be part of the Cathedral art installation.  Please leave your loved one's name in the comments box when making your donation, along with a short message if you wish.

Longfield Hospice relies on public donations to fund 85% of our work. Now, more than ever, we need people like you to show how much you value what we do in communities across Gloucestershire.

Memories make life so special for each of us; the simple act of remembering your loved one with a Forget Me Not is a wonderful tribute in their memory, and your donation to Longfield Hospice will enable us to support many other people this year.

A donation of £60 could pay for an hour of Hospice at Home care, so a family can spend precious time together at the end of a loved one’s life.

Thank you for any support you can give.
