There are many roles for volunteers at Longfield (see the base of this page for current vacancies) and people really enjoy working with us, as a 2016 survey of our volunteers revealed:
We rely on the goodwill of people like you, willing to give up your time to help others. Without your support we simply couldn’t care for so many patients. As well as knowing that you’ll be making a massive difference to your local community, there are many reasons why you might want to volunteer.
Watch the video below on what it's like to volunteer in one of our shops:
We also have plenty of volunteering opportunities at our Minchinhampton base:
Perhaps you’re currently not working?
If you’ve just graduated or retired, taken a career break or been made redundant, volunteering can help you gain valuable new experience. You'll enjoy having a regular commitment in a busy, friendly environment on a weekly or fortnightly basis.
You might be someone who has experienced our service?
If you have been a patient or a relative or friend of someone we cared for, we’d love to welcome you as a volunteer. First-hand experience of the good work that is done at Longfield goes a long way.
You might be a student?
We have roles that can give you with valuable work experience or help you carry out voluntary work as part of an award. If you are 14 or over, we can arrange this for you.
You might be a professional in your field?
If you would like to put your professional skills to good use for Longfield, we often have projects that need specialist knowledge and may be able to match you up! You would be most welcome, so please get in touch.
