We rely on the goodwill of people like you, willing to give up your time to help others. Without your support we simply couldn’t care for so many patients. As well as knowing that you’ll be making a massive difference to your local community, there are many reasons why you might want to volunteer.

Perhaps you’re currently not working?
If you’ve just graduated or retired, taken a career break or been made redundant, volunteering can help you gain valuable new experience. You'll enjoy having a regular commitment in a busy, friendly environment on a weekly or fortnightly basis.
You might be someone who has experienced our service?
If you have been a patient or a relative or friend of someone we cared for, we’d love to welcome you as a volunteer. First-hand experience of the good work that is done at Longfield goes a long way.
You might be a student?
We have roles that can give you with valuable work experience or help you carry out voluntary work as part of an award. If you are 14 or over, we can arrange this for you.
You might be a professional in your field?
If you would like to put your professional skills to good use for Longfield, we often have projects that need specialist knowledge and may be able to match you up! You would be most welcome, so please get in touch.

Could you help us provide one-to-one face-to-face and occasional one-to-one telephone counselling to our clients, carers and family members?
We are looking for volunteer shop van drivers to collect and distribute goods between our shops and pick up donations from people's homes.
We are looking for a volunteer to support the Estate Maintenance Assistant in providing provide efficient and effective care-taking support to the Hospice including ensuring the security and general appearance of the buildings and surrounding areas

We are looking for volunteers to serve customers, sort clothes and bric-a-brac and help with shop displays in our shops, across Gloucestershire.

We are looking for someone who enjoys being out and about, working in a small and friendly team. You will be helping to collect donations of stock, and moving them around between our warehouse and our shops.
