There is a very wide range of roles for volunteers at Longfield (see the base of this page for current vacancies) and people thoroughly enjoy working with us. This was proved by a 2016 survey of our volunteers, which revealed:
We rely on the goodwill of people like you, who are willing to give up your time to help other local families. Without your support we simply couldn’t care for so many patients. As well as knowing that you’ll be making a massive difference to families in your local community, there are many reasons why you might want to volunteer.
Watch the video below to see what it's like to be a volunteer in one of our shops:
We also have plenty of volunteering opportunities at our Minchinhampton base too:
Maybe you’ve just graduated or retired, taken a career break or been made redundant. Volunteering can help you gain valuable new experience. You'll probably enjoy having a regular commitment in a busy, friendly environment on a weekly or fortnightly basis.
You may have been a patient or a relative or friend of someone we cared for. We’d love to welcome you as a volunteer, who understands what we are about.
We have volunteer roles that can help you gain valuable work experience or carry out voluntary work as part of an award. As long as you are 14 or over, we can arrange this for you.
We welcome people who would like to utilise their specialist skills and put them to good use for Longfield. We often have specific projects that need specialist knowledge and we may be able to match you up!
