We can provide a range of support to people (aged 18 and above) at all stages of the illness, from diagnosis onwards. The aim is to help you to regain control of your physical and emotional wellbeing, enabling you to be yourself, rather than just a victim of illness. We also offer a full range of services to those caring for somebody with life-limiting illness and those who have been bereaved.
Support your family and other carers
You are invited to come to Longfield for an initial Welcome to Longfield session, to discuss how we might help you. You can arrange to come for a programme of Day Therapy, you can book hourly appointments for specific types of care, or you can decide to join one of our groups. So, after an initial review of your needs and preferences, you can choose from a wide range of services, which are all free of charge:
We also have lots of contacts and links with other charities and healthcare providers who you might also like to get in touch with such as Parkinson’s UK and MND Association.
Please contact us to refer yourself or a member of your family (with their consent), or download a referral form in word or PDF format. If you would prefer to come and see us to discuss your needs, then try our Welcome to Longfield : Information and Support Service every Thursday morning, 9.30.-12.30.
Our commitment to providing you with the best care – please take a look at the information regarding our commitment to quality and standards.
Not sure if we could help you or your family? Come along and speak to a member of staff to get personalised information and advice.
Whether you have just been diagnosed, you’re coming because you need support as you manage your illness, or you’re a family carer who needs support, rest assured, you have come to the right place.
To help you gain a better understanding about our services, we asked our patients and their carers to give us their views of the support they have received from the Hospice.
We have put together a list of other services and organisations that you might like to contact for additional information.
