Longfield hospice have a new CEO We are delighted to be able to officially announce that Simon Bernstein will be taking up the role of Longfield’ CEO at the Beginning of November, taking over from Ali Russell who has left to become CEO at the National Benevolent Charity. He joins Longfield after a 30-year career in the voluntary sector, where he was worked in health and social care, environmental, children's and disability organisations. Simon’s current role is CEO of Alive Activities, a Bristol-based social care charity, where he has been for the past four years. Under his leadership, Alive has won the 'Most Innovative Elderly Care Providers in the South West and Best Intergenerational Community Engagement categories at the 2019 Social Care Awards. The charity were also finalists at the National Dementia Care Awards in 2017 and 2018. We look forward to Simon joining the team soon!
