Longfield Hospice need your help!

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a catastrophic effect for charities.

The Virgin Money London Marathon alone, which should have taken place on Sunday 26 April, is the world’s biggest one-day fundraising event, which raised more than £66.4 million for thousands of charities in 2019.

As it cannot take place as planned, its organisers have created a”lockdown-friendly event” which is easy for anyone to join in and make a difference.

Longfield, like so many charities across the UK, has been impacted by COVID-19. The need to close our Charity Shops and the cancellation of planned fundraising events means that income has dropped significantly.

We're urging you to  join the 2.6 Challenge to help Longfield and our community. Help is needed now more than ever before.

From Sunday 26 April 2020, the challenge is to dream up an activity based around the numbers 2.6 or 26 and fundraise for Longfield by setting up an online page here

Here's some ideas for you, but we're sure you have some of your own! We can't wait to hear what you come up with!

  • 2.6 mile run or a team of 10 take a leg each and complete a marathon
