New Chief Executive Andy Fletcher Our New Chief Executive We are delighted to announce that Andy Fletcher has been appointed as the new Chief Executive for Longfield. In his present role, Andy has led the strategic development and management of external relationships during the merger of two organisations to form Together for Short Lives. He oversees all relationships and communications with government bodies and represents ninety children’s hospices and smaller organisations on the development of communications strategies. In Andy’s earlier career, he developed and led lobbying and public relations strategies on key public projects, parliamentary events and press conferences. He used this experience for the charity, Pre-School Learning Alliance (from 2003 to 2006), where he led the press and public affairs function. From 2006 to 2010, Andy restructured and re-built the communications team at the National Childminding Association and then jointly led the NCMA prior to the new CEO taking over. “Talking to the people who use our services I passionately believe Longfield has a key role – and responsibility – to help the people of Gloucestershire live well. I am looking forward to working with the staff and volunteers to develop services that support more people by taking our care to them, in the heart of the community.” Andy will be joining the organisation on the 1st June.
