Pub landlady Mary Gwyer is planning to mark her 50th birthday in style after scooping  £2,000 with Longfield Crackerjackpot Lottery.

Mary, who runs the Old Crown at Uley, with her husband Ben is planning a family holiday to Florida next year.

“We have four significant birthdays next year. I turn 50 and then our three boys turn 16, 18 and 21. We’ve been talking about a holiday to Florida and now we can do just that,” said Mary.

Mary signed up to the lottery about 18 months ago.

“Longfield is a place where we have had friends go, including our dear friend Linda Woodman, so we are more than happy to support such a good cause”

Lottery tickets cost £1 each and are available online at or through Longfield’s charity shops. There’s a chance of winning up to £12,000.

By playing Crackerjackpot, 60p of every £1 of the funds raised from your Crackerjackpot membership go directly to Longfield, to provide specialist services for people living with a life-limiting illness in Gloucestershire, 365 days a year.
