The Care Quality Commission is the official regulator of health and social care in England. They recently inspected the services provided by Longfield and concluded that the way we care for people is “Outstanding”, their highest rating.

The CQC talked to patients, carers and NHS staff who work closely with us, as well as to our own staff and managers. They report the use of words like ‘exceptional’, ‘brilliant’ and ‘astonishing’ to describe our care, summed up by one person who had experienced our services:

“Our relationship with the carers was astonishing. Because of them it became a joyful experience.”

The report rates us across five categories in all, and the other four were all given the CQC’s second level rating of “Good”, so their overall rating of everything that Longfield does is “Good”.
